A Cape Air flight that skidded off the runway at Watertown's airport Monday afternoon was moved to a hangar Tuesday. As a result, the airport's second runway was to reopen Tuesday afternoon.

Six passengers were on the plane, according to Michelle Haynes, a spokesman for Cape Air.

The plane was landing from Albany. As it touched down, the pilot discovered he had "little to no braking action," Haynes said.

7 News reporter Jeff Nelson, on scene, reported the plane hit a patch of ice. One passenger told Nelson the people on the plane didn't feel a big impact when the plane went off the runway.

A Federal Aviation Administration official was on scene Tuesday, investigating the incident.
