Two St. Lawrence University football players were arrested Tuesday on drug related charges.

Canton Village Police charged 19 year old John Calero of Port Chester, New York, and 19 year old Oscar Rodrigez of Palm City, Florida, with a felony count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The roommates were charged after village police and members of the county drug task force executed a search warrant on their Whitman Hall dorm room.

Police said they seized just under an ounce of cocaine.

Calero's bail was set at $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.

Rodrigez was ordered held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

The investigation is continuing and other charges are pending.
