WWNY-TV is saying goodbye to a member of the 7 News family.

Friday is Alexandra Field's last day.

During her three years with WWNY, Alex has worked as a general assignment reporter and most recently anchor of the 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Originally from Manhattan, Alexandra graduated from Hamilton College in 2006 with a dual degree in history and French.

She finished her educational career at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications with a Master's Degree in journalism in 2007.

Alex joined 7 News in January of that year.

During her career with WWNY, Alex received two awards for her work, including a Syracuse Press Club Award and the outstanding spot news coverage for her work on the Academy Street apartment building fire from the Associated Press.

Alex has accepted a reporting position with WRGB, the CBS affiliate in Albany.

We would like to wish Alex the best of luck.

We'll miss you!
