Watertown Gets Closer To Hiring New Fire Chief

Tools

The city of Watertown is one step closer to getting its next fire chief.

Acting Chief Milt Sayre is retiring April 10.

He took over for Dan Gaumont, who left for a similar job in Texas.

In January, a civil service exam was given to an undisclosed number of potential chiefs.

The results of the test are in, but need to be finalized by the Civil Service Commission.

After that's complete, City Manager Mary Corriveau will interview candidates and make her selection.
