APA Approves 6,200-Acre Tupper Lake Project

The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) has approved the largest project it has ever considered.

The APA board voted 10 to 1 Friday morning to grant the 14 separate permits needed for the 6,200-acre project near Tupper Lake.

The project would include the redevelopment of the Big Tupper Ski Area, with a year-round resort including several hundred residential units, townhouses and upscale single family camps with a new marina on Big Tupper Lake.
