Crash Leaves Watertown Woman Critically Injured

A one-vehicle accident temporarily closed part of Route 11 south of Watertown Monday morning and left a woman in critical condition.

The road reopened at 1:30 p.m.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department said 25 year old Jaclyn Papalski of Watertown lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree.

The jaws of life tool was used to remove her from the vehicle.

She was flown to University Hospital in Syracuse where she was listed in critical condition Monday afternoon.

Her passengers, ages 2 and 3, were treated and released at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

Both lanes of the highway were temporarily closed between State Route 232 and County Route 64 in the town of Watertown.
