Adams On Track To Find Water

The town of Adams is on the lookout for more sources of water and believes it's on the right track to find some soon.

The town has struggled with water shortages for many years.

At a meeting Wednesday, consultants from the U.S. Geological Survey gave the results of tests, which suggest new places the town can drill for water.

"I've been trying to help out the Adams Center to search for their own water supply, and it's a challenging area because the aquifer gets very thin in this area," said Todd Miller of the U.S. Geological Survey.

"They've been running into issues in the summer with low water tables and having to do the emergency water conservation measures, so I'm sure they're anxious to find a solution," said Katie Malinowski, Tug Hill Commission.

The town has been plagued with water shortages and has had to call for water conservation, particularly in the summer months.
