Adams Woman Charged In Check Theft, Forgery

An Adams woman faces charges after allegedly stealing, forging and cashing someone's personal check.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies say 21 year old Kayla Brown was charged with second degree forgery, second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.
 
She was arraigned in Adams village court and was released after posting $500 bail.
 
She will face the charges in Watertown city court.
