After five years of almost no action, the Adirondack Internal Speedway will reopen for the season May 4.
Lewis County legislators got a look at the facility Thursday. Trouble with taxes closed down the race track in 2009, trouble that was only cleared up last fall.
"We'll try to go racing now," said Paul Lyndaker, the owner. "We'll try to use the fcility for what it was meant to be.
"We had a lot of hurdles thrown in front of us, so it makes it difficult. But we'll go at it again. We're resilient, we'll hang in there."
This year, there will be a lighter schedule. Lyndaker wants to get back to a full field of racers, but says that will take some time to do.
