Alleged Killer Arraigned As Fugitive From Justice
A former north country man wanted in the murder of a Kentucky cab driver was arraigned in Jefferson County Court Monday afternoon on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.
The body of 34 year old Adam Gregg was found Thursday night in Oldham County, Kentucky.
Kentucky police said Mathews was the last person to ride with the taxi driver.
The district attorney said Matthews' extradition will be discussed then.
"He has the right to contest that he's not the Miles Matthews that they are looking for down in the state of Kentucky and that in fact he's being held illegally and not connected to that matter," said DA Cindy Intschert.
Kentucky is looking to extradite Matthews.
