Update: Arizona Woman Dies In Lisbon Crash

A 22 year old Arizona woman has died from the injuries she suffered in an accident Tuesday afternoon on Route 37 in the town of Lisbon.

State police said Vanessa Bentley of Tucson was transported to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg and later flown to Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Vermont.

She died at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, Bentley was a passenger in a car driven by 21 year old Natalie Love of Hemet, California.

Love was driving west on Route 37 when she attempted to make a left hand turn onto Sports Club Road.

Police said Love failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming Jeep driven by 49 year old Nora McDonald of Madrid.

The Jeep struck the passenger side of Love's vehicle, where Bentley was sitting.

Love was transported to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center and later transferred to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

She was listed in fair condition Wednesday afternoon.

McDonald was taken the Claxton Hepburn for treatment.

Love was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.

The accident happened at approximately 12:24 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Love's car was registered to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (often referred to as the Mormon Church).

According to police, Love and Bentley were on the road doing mission work for their church.
