Autopsy Shows Clarkson Student Drowned

The final autopsy report is in and it confirms what police suspected - a Clark son University student who died after being struck by a train was under the influence of alcohol.

Last October, 20 year old Shan't Samurais of La's Vegas, Nevada, was killed in a train-pedestrian accident over the Marquette River.

He had been on the railroad trestle next to Sandstone Drive in Potsdam when he was struck by the train and fell to his death.

Police said it appeared the train knocked Samurais unconscious.

His body was later recovered from the water nearby.

The final autopsy shows that Samurais died from asphyxiation due to cold water drowning.

The toxicology report indicates that his blood alcohol content was .27 percent and that there were trace amounts of marijuana in his system.
