A 36 year old Black River man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

State police arrested Curtis Sprague last September.

He was accused of having pornographic pictures and videos of girls under the age of 16 on his computer.

Police said he shared at least one of those pictures online.

Troopers said they executed a search warrant on Sprague's Remington Street apartment based on information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Spague was originally charged with promoting the sexual performance of a child and possession of obscene sexual performance by a child.

On Monday, he pleaded guilty to a felony count of possession of obscene sexual performance by a child.

Sprague will be sentenced on October 18.

His bail remains at $7,500 cash.
