Bluegrass Music Fills Air In Lowville

The Atkinson Family kicked off the 8th Annual Tug Hill Bluegrass Festival Friday afternoon.

For the crowd, the music comes first.

But most say the great company is a very close second.

"I haven't met a bad person up here yet.  They're just very friendly, all around," said Marty Roshevsky, a festival attendee.

Attendees come with friends and make new ones along the way.

Some will stay for the day, others for the weekend.

Some people work on a hobby while listening to the music.

After a wet and rainy week people are just as thankful for the great weather as they are for the great music.

"Today is beautiful, hasn't been so much this week, but today is perfect," said Lois Zehr, an attendee.
