Middle School Student Accused Of Indian River Bomb Threat
State police have arrested a 12 year old student for allegedly making a bomb threat Monday morning at Indian River Middle School.
The threat forced officials to divert middle school students to the high school.
In a notice on the school's website, officials said middle school students were diverted to the high school theater as a precaution.
Jefferson County sheriff's deputies and state troopers used dogs to search for anything suspicious.
Nothing was found and officials determined the building was safe.
Officials said students were never in danger and were allowed to return to closes.
The unnamed child accused of making the threat was arrested as a juvenile delinquent and released to his parent pending further action with Jefferson County Probation.
