A 10 year old Rochester-area boy with north country connections died after being trapped in a snow pile while building tunnels with a friend.
Graveside services will be held Friday for Cory Denoncourt.
His uncle, Michael Denoncourt of Ogdensburg, says the freak accident was "tragic, just tragic."
The boy was trapped in a snowbank that collapsed while he was building a snow fort with a friend outside his family's Greece, N.Y. apartment on December 20.
Several children playing in the area were able to free Denoncourt, but he died of his injuries the next day in a Rochester hospital.
Denoncourt is also the grandson of Mary Ellen and Joseph Denoncourt of Ogdensburg.
