Business Booms At Ogdensburg Airport

Tools

Air service is flying high through the Ogdensburg International Airport as a record number of passengers traveled through the airport last year.

Cape Air, which provides three flights a day from Ogdensburg to Albany and on to Boston, saw slightly more than 9,600 passengers in 2012.

That compares to nearly 6,700 passengers the previous year.

Many of the travelers were Canadians who crossed the border to take advantage of lower ticket prices.

The airline is finalizing plans to open up a new downtown ticket office at 318 Ford Street on May 1.
