Can-Am Owner Apologizes For Actions Caught On Video

A race track owner is apologizing after he was caught on tape grabbing and threatening a young driver.

A YouTube video showing Can-Am Speedway owner Tiger Chapman manhandling a 17 year old racer has gone viral with 34,000 views.

"I lost my cool as a father," Chapman told 7 News.  "I'm greatly ashamed."

"I did not act as a race track owner, I acted as a parent."

The altercation happened at the track a little more than a week ago.

The driver, Justin Williams, had been in a spin-out accident with a car driven by Tiger Chapman's son.

No one was injured. Chapman reacted by reaching into Williams' car and threatening his life.

The driver's father, Doug Williams, says he's getting a lawyer and might take legal action.

Chapman says if the family presses charges, he will accept it.
