Cape Vincent's Horne's Ferry Launches Another Season

After sitting idle over the winter, it's once again anchors aweigh in Cape Vincent.

Horne's Ferry has launched another season of trips between Cape Vincent and Wolfe Island, Ontario.

The same family has operated the service since 1802 and, combined with the Wolfe Island Ferry, it remains one of the best ways to get from this side of the border to downtown Kingston.

"If you're just going over and you have no intentions of going anywhere else - just having fun in Kingston, maybe stay overnight, go to a concert - this is the way to go," said ferry operator Bruce Horne.

The ferry runs hourly every day from now through October. You can drive your car on board or leave it behind. Either way, it's a scenic way to cross the border.
