Car Damages Theresa Fire Hall, Voting Continues
A woman drove her car into the back entrance of the Theresa Fire Department, which is being used Tuesday as a polling station.
Voting continued despite the damage.
Officials said Carmelita Mayer of Theresa struck the building Tuesday afternoon, causing damage to the back entrance of the fire hall.
Mayer, who had come to the fire station to vote, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of back pain.
It's unclear exactly how the accident happened.
Because of the accident, Thursday's bingo is canceled.
