Carthage Booster Club Gets Big Check

Tools

The Carthage Central Booster Club got a boost Thursday.

It received a check from a local car dealership for almost $5,000.

The general manager of Caskinette's Lofink Ford presented the check to the president of the club.

The proceeds came from the 'Drive One 4 UR School' event.

People were able to test drive a number of Ford cars, and for each one, they raised $30 for the Carthage Central High School Booster Club.

"Athletics is a very important part of education for children and this money will help keep athletics in our school district," said Garry Schwartz of the club.

"By supporting the booster club, they help a lot of the kids who perhaps can't even get sneakers," said Lynn Leonard of Caskinette's Lofink Ford

The money raised will help Carthage Central's sports programs.
