If you like scavenger hunts, here's your chance.

The Carthage Free Library has placed nine of its statues in downtown storefronts. All you have to do is locate the statues based on a series of clues.

It's a fun way to celebrate the library's 100th anniversary.

"Just on a whim," said statue hunter Mary Hebert about why she's participating. "They told us about it and it seemed like fun," she said.

"The purpose is to spread knowledge about the library and our local history," said the library's Chrystie Vockus.

"We really wanted to get community involvement in celebrating our 100-year anniversary," she said.

The scavenger hunt runs for three weeks. The winner will receive an Amazon Kindle.
