Castorland Teen Charged With RapeThe Lewis County sheriff's department has arrested a Castorland teenager and charged him having sex with a female under the age of 15. Deputies say 18 year old Derek Mellnitz is charged with second degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child. Police say the charges stem from an incident that occurred on New Year's Day. Mellnitz was arraigned and released pending grand jury action. |
