Celebrating Cheddar at Annual Adams Cheese Fest

Dairy lovers had the chance to say - and eat - cheese in Adams Saturday.

It was the third annual Cheddar Cheese Festival.

With over 60 vendors on hand, there were plenty of samples to choose from.

Organizers say the festival is is a chance to showcase the area's rich tradition in cheese making.

"it's a celebration of the cheese making history of southern Jefferson County," said Cheddar Cheese Festival organizer Karen Hongo.

"But, really, it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a village to create a cheddar cheese festival," she added.
