Celebrating Independence Day in the North Country

They're as American as apple pie and baseball: Fourth of July Parades! And, there was no shortage of them across the north country Wednesday.

In the town of Adams, people young and old packed sidewalks to catch the 83rd annual Adams American Legion parade.

People who attended could also sign up for a raffle, with the winner receiving a gas card.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Jefferson County, crowds lined the streets in Champion for what they say is the only parade you can watch twice.

The Champion Old Home Day Parade goes by spectators once on County Route 47 and then turns around and comes back again.

The parade has been held on the 4th for decades and viewers of all ages were having a great time...both times.
