Charley Pride Replaces Randy Travis In DPAO Concert
A replacement has been named for the replacement act in the Disabled Persons Action Organization's summer concert series.
The DPAO announced Friday that Charley Pride will replace the ailing Randy Travis. Travis was a replacement for George Jones who died earlier this year.
Travis was hospitalized with a heart condition earlier this week and has suffered complications since.
His August 3 concert in Watertown was officially canceled Friday.
The Pride concert will be August 30 at 7 p.m. at the Watertown Fairgrounds Arena.
Over the past 30 years, Pride has remained one of the Top-20 best-selling country artists of all time.
His legacy includes 36 number one hit singles and sales of over 70 million albums, including 31 gold albums and four platinum.
Ticket holders to the Jones or Travis concerts can call the DPAO at 315-782-0044 for refunds or they can use the tickets for the Pride concert.
The deadline to receive a refund for the Randy Travis concert is July 26.
Those who want to buy tickets to the August 30 concert can call the number above or visit dpao.org.
