Checkpoint Stop Yields 22 Pounds Of Pot

A state police checkpoint resulted in the arrest of a Hogansburg man, who troopers say had 22 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

Police say they stopped 36 year old Brian Lazore Jr. on Route 11 in the town of Antwerp on Saturday and found the pot in his car.
 
He was charged with first degree criminal possession of marijuana, arraigned, and committed to Jefferson County jail on $15,000 bail.
