City Cites Mercy Owners For Long Grass

It didn't take long for Watertown's former Mercy Center to take on the look of an abandoned property.

The grass hasn't been mowed on the Stone Street property and there are other signs of neglect as well.

The city Code Enforcement Office says it's citing the downstate owners for not mowing.

That means if they don't do it in five days, the city will and send a bill.

Mercy closed last month.

At latest word, COR Development was in the process of taking over the property.
