A 66 year old Clayton man pleaded guilty Thursday in Jefferson County Court in connection with an alcohol-related boating accident that injured six people.

Peter LaGrow pleaded guilty to a felony count of second-degree vehicular assault and a misdemeanor count of boating while intoxicated.

He will be sentenced June 27.

LaGrow and five other people were injured in August 2011 when their pleasure craft struck a shoal north of Governors Island in the St. Lawrence River.

Officials said the 23-foot boat was traveling between 25 and 35 miles per hour when the accident occurred.

Lagrow suffered neck and internal injuries, officials said.
