Clayton Welcomes New Divers' Access Point

The village of Clayton has always been a great place for scuba diving and now it's even better.

A new divers' access point includes a floating platform and a special ladder for divers to get in and out of the water safely and easily.

The new access point is the result of volunteer efforts.

It didn't cost the taxpayer a dime.

"This whole thing has been done by donations. There's been no village money used whatsoever. We've put about $3,500 in cash into it and we probably got another $2 or $3,000 in donations," said diver Skip Couch.

Swimmers, kayakers and anglers are also welcome to use the new site, which is located at the main dock.
