Community Foundation Youth Council Awards $10,000The Northern New York Community Foundation's Youth Philanthropy Council has selected nine organizations to receive $10,000 in grants. The grants were approved at Tuesday's meeting of the Community Foundation. The Youth Philanthropy Council is now in its third year, and has awarded a total of $22,500. The Council is made up of high school students. The organizations receiving the awards serve Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties. Here's the press release from the Community Foundation. Now in its third year, the Northern New York Community Foundation Youth Philanthropy Council awarded grants totaling $10,000 to nine organizations serving Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties. Funding for this initiative is provided as a collaborative of the Community Foundation, Watertown Savings Bank and Renzi Foodservice.
