Two Indian River Central students received minor injuries in a crash between a school bus and a car Wednesday morning, district officials said.
The bus was taking 14 K-3 students to Antwerp Primary School when it was rear-ended by a car at the corner of Sicily and Attu lanes on Fort Drum.
Officials say it happened around 8 a.m.
Two students were taken by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Six were released to their parents. The remaining six boarded another bus and were taken to school.
Officials say the car sustained significant damage, but the bus was barely damaged.
The driver of the car was identified as 24 year old Daniel Moran of Fort Drum.
He was ticketed for failure to stop for a school bus while loading/unloading passengers.
