Crash Kills Redwood WomanA Redwood woman has died from injuries she suffered in a two-vehicle crash near Redwood Thursday night. Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies say 53 year old Robin Broughan died when the car she was a passenger in was struck head on by a pickup truck. The car she was in was was driven by Michael Homan. The accident happened at 7:15 p.m. on Route 37 in the town of Theresa. Investigators say 46 year old Mark Hujar of Hammond was trying to pass another vehicle when his truck struck Homan's car head on. Broughan was pronounced dead at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. Homan was airlifted to Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, where he's listed in critical condition. Hujar was ticketed for unsafe passing and failure to keep right. The investigation is continuing. Police say other charges may be filed. |
