Funeral services have been set for a mother and daughter killed Saturday in an accident on route 26 on Fort Drum.

Killed were 43 year old Laurie DeShane of Harrisville and her daughter, 20 year old Kendra DeShane of Castorland.

Funeral services for both women will be at 2 pm Thursday at Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home in Carthage.

State police said a vehicle driven by Carthage High School senior Heather Miller, 17, veered into the oncoming lane and hit the vehicle being driven by Laurie DeShane. Kendra DeShane was a passenger in the back seat.

The accident happened at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Laurie DeShane died at the scene. Kendra DeShane died at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

Two other passengers in the DeShane vehicle, 18 year old Krista DeShane and 30 year old Christopher Brundage, were injured, but the injuries were said to be non-life threatening.

Krista DeShane was taken to Samaritan Medical Center and Brundage to Carthage Area Hospital.

Miller was treated and released from Samaritan Medical Center.

Fort Drum military police assisted state police at the scene.

No charges were filed Saturday.
