Croghan Man Charged With Raping Underage VictimA Croghan man is in jail on charges he raped an underage victim. State police say 40 year old Kurt Hazzard of 6835 Mechanic Street allegedly had forcible sex with someone under 16 years old and also exposed a different child, a 12 year old, to sexual contact. Hazzard was charged with two counts of first degree rape, one count of first degree criminal sexual act and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Hazzard was arraigned in Lowville village court and was remanded to Lewis County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. |
