Croghan Man Claims $37K Queen Of Hearts Prize

The winner of the Watertown Elks Club Queens of Hearts contest has claimed his prize.

Dan Ritz of Croghan gets $37,500 after taxes. 

He and two friends took a chance on the weekly drawing that kept players and the Elks Club hopping every Tuesday night for weeks.

"I was lucky, you know? I was one of probably 25,000 tickets in there. My name happened to get drawn," said Ritz.

Ritz said he may use his winnings to travel to New England to watch modified racing.

The Elks Club will keep more than $150,000 to help with its many programs and charitable projects.
