Cuomo, Bloomberg Make Waves In Adirondacks

It was New York state against New York City in the heart of the Adirondacks Monday.

Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg suited up for a whitewater rafting race down the Indian River in Hamilton County - all in an effort to promote upstate tourism.

For the past three days, Cuomo and state leaders have been highlighting the natural beauty of the region to attract more visitors.

"All we have to do is show people the benefits we have in upstate New York. They just don't know what we have. We are under-exposed," said Cuomo.

Cuomo also launched a new tourism campaign that will highlight the north country and the Adirondacks through activities like whitewater rafting.
