DPAO's Summer Program Ends On High NoteFive weeks of fun and games are over at the Disabled Persons Action Organization (DPAO), but they end on a high note. The DPAO's summer recreation program wrapped up Friday with its annual picnic. Threatening weather forced the event indoors, but there was still plenty of great food, a slide show and an awards ceremony emceed by 7 News sports guy Mel Busler. "It's well looked forward to," said DPAO executive director Cynthia FitzPatrick. "In fact, quite often our participants in summer rec start talking about the picnic the first day of summer rec." Today's picnic also offered parents the chance to drop in and see their kids enjoy themselves. |
