Dance Concert Raises Money To Fight Cancer
The north country came out for a benefit Sunday at Immaculate Heart Central in Watertown to raise awareness for cancer.
"The Colors of Cancer" was a performance by the dancers of Rhonda's Footeworks.
Organizers say it benefits the Maddie's Mark Foundation and Relay for Life.
"It's really fun for the girls, not just to dance -- to put on a costume and put on pretty makeup and dance for a trophy or for flowers -- they're actually dancing for a cause to help others," dance instructor Rachael Giargiano said.
"A show, raffles, food -- it's everything you could want on a Sunday afternoon," said volunteer Michelle Gillette.
The dance company says it's their biggest outreach event so far.
They say they hope to continue performing at future benefits.
