Deputies: Man Leads Authorities on Two County Chase

A Lyons Falls man allegedly led sheriff's deputies on a 90 minute car chase last night that spanned two counties.

According to a press release by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, deputies tried to pull over Timothy Carmen, 33, Lyons Falls, on Center Street in Lyons Falls early this morning. But they say, he sped off and deputies chased him all the way to Boonville and then through Forestport before state police flattened 3 of his tires using spike strips. Carmen was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer, Aggravated Unlicsesced Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and a number of traffic charges. Carmen was put in the Lewis county Jail on $1000 cash bail. 

Deputies are waiting on a blood test from Carmen.
