Dexter Man Indicted On Rape, Kidnapping Charges

A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a 33 year old Dexter man on sexual assault, rape, kidnapping and other charges.

Ronnell Wilson is accused of committing a number of crimes against a female prostitute in September and October of 2013.

He's also alleged to have threatened the woman with a handgun.

According to the indictment, Wilson profited from prostitution by giving the woman heroin to impair her judgement.

He allegedly required that prostitution be performed to pay off a purported debt.

Court papers said Wilson threatened serious physical injury or death if the woman failed to comply.

According to the indictment, Wilson unlawfully imprisoned the woman or committed sex acts against her if she didn't comply.

The indictment said Wilson physically restrained the woman and inserted a gun into her vagina.

The grand jury indicted Wilson on 13 criminal counts:

- predatory sexual assault (two counts)
- sex trafficking (four counts)
- first-degree rape
- first-degree criminal sexual act
- second-degree kidnapping (two counts)
- third-degree aggravated sexual abuse
- second-degree unlawful imprisonment (two counts)

Wilson is being held in the county jail on $50,000 on the latest charges.

He was arrested in January after authorities said they seized heroin during a drug bust.

Wilson was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was additionally charged with violating parole; officials said Wilson is a parolee out of New York City.
