A Dexter man is headed to state prison for sexually abusing a child.
Joseph Bowman was sentenced Friday in Jefferson County Court to 17 years to life in prison.
A jury had found him guilty of predatory sexual assault.
He was accused of engaging in numerous sex acts with a seven year old girl.
The victim was given a 12 year order of protection.
