Dinner Raises Money For Cemetery Project
They were serving up red sauce to save old headstones.
Organizers of the Arsenal Street Cemetery Preservation and Beautification project hosted a benefit spaghetti dinner Sunday.
The money raised will help keep the cemetery maintained throughout the year.
Volunteers say raising money is essential for a historic part of Watertown.
"There's people that have been in there forever and ever," said volunteer Barb DeYear.
"People might not even know that they have relatives there," she said.
The dinner also had live music and auctions to help raise money.
