Dr. Rosner May Be Out As Jail Physician

Tools

A new doctor may be named for the Jefferson County Jail.

In an email to county leaders, Sheriff John Burns said he has issues with the current physician, Dr. David Rosner.

Burns said they include not coming to the jail, not seeing inmates and referring inmates to other doctors outside the jail.

County lawmakers will now consider removing Dr. Rosner and replacing him with Dr. Collins Kellogg.

Dr. Rosner told 7 News he was taken by complete surprise by the sheriff's complaints.
