The tradition of Easter egg decorating has come alive with vibrant colors and symbolic designs at the Traditional Arts in Upstate New York Center in Canton.
More than 100 traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, or pysanky, made by Canton resident Elizabeth "Libby" Brandt are on display this month.
She has been making the breathtaking creations for over 40 years and has passed the tradition down to her children.
The symbols and designs intricately written in hot wax as part of a over-dyeing technique.
"They were made following traditional Ukrainian designs, which can range from pretty elaborate to very elaborate," said Hannah Harvester, TAUNY program director.
The exhibit will continue through March 30.
