Factory Street To Get Major Facelift

Major construction is planned for Factory Street in Watertown.

The road will be worked on from Public Square to Huntington Street.

The goal is to fix water mains, create parking and improve traffic signals.

The construction is expected to begin next year or in early 2014 and will disrupt traffic flow for several months.

But the city of Watertown says the hassle will be worthwhile.

"People were really happy with State Street, Public Square and this is kind of an extension of that," said City Engineer Kurt Hauk.

There's a public meeting Wednesday to release information about the planned construction.

It's at City Hall at 7 p.m.
