Feedback: Garrett Phillips' Family Seeks Justice

Nearly eight months after the strangulation of 12 year old homicide victim Garrett Phillips, family and friends are coping as best they can.

A reward fund has also been started in hopes of drawing out new information that could lead to an arrest.

"We all loved our grandson so much. There's not a day that goes by that all of our family just, that's all we think about," said Garrett's grandfather Joseph Paul.

Garrett Phillips died at the hands of his attacker last October inside the Market Street apartment where he lived.

Police have a person of interest as a suspect in the homicide but no arrests have been made as state police continue to work with Potsdam Police and follow leads in the investigation.

Justice for Garrett signs have been popping up all over the county as family and friends of the murdered boy continue to focus attention on the case.

So far close to $5,000 has been raised as a reward in hopes of obtaining information to bring the person responsible for Garrett's death to justice.

"I wish it could be sooner than later, but we want to make sure that no mistakes are made because we won't get a second chance," said Garrett's grandmother Janet Paul.

"Everybody wants one thing out of this - justice," said Garrett's uncle Brian Phillips.
