Feedback: Inside Lamphere's Alleged Prostitution Ring

A woman tells 7 News a well-known Hopkinton businessman repeatedly forced her to have sex to pay off a debt.

The woman, whose name we are withholding, says she's not alone - that as many as 35 to 40 other women may have been forced into prostitution.

She tells us she came forward to stop what she described as the "pain and humiliation" she has endured over the last two years.

The woman's pain and humiliation were allegedly at the hands of Dean Lamphere, owner of Lamphere's General Trucking and Repair.

"He takes advantage of women who have nothing and just thrives on it. It's a control. We were his puppets," the woman said.

State police charged the 60 year old Hopkinton man with felony counts of third-degree promotion of prostitution and tampering with physical evidence after executing a search warrant Monday at his business and residence on Route 11B.

The investigation centers on sexual trysts Lamphere was allegedly setting up for friends and other men with women.

The alleged victims ranged in age from 20 to 32.

Lamphere allegedly advertised sex-for-money through the internet and through friends.

The trysts allegedly took place at his business and other locations including motels between 2011 and as recently as last month.

Lamphere's alleged victim says as many as 35 to 40 other women may have been involved in the prostitution enterprise dating back several years.

She says she and others owed Lamphere money and she claims she was forced to trade sex in exchange for paying off the debt.

State police investigators say some of the men paid $50 to $100 for sex with the women, which was then allegedly videotaped by Lamphere.

Police also say he allegedly burned two of the videotapes containing evidence in a pit behind his garage.

We visited Lamphere's home seeking comment but no one answered.

Workers at his business told us he was "not available."

Lamphere remains free on $10,000 bail.

Additional charges may be pending through a county grand jury proceeding.
