Fence Goes Up So Mercy Can Come Down

Here's a sign that the former Mercy Care Center in Watertown will be coming down.

Crews from Arrow Fence in Syracuse are putting up a temporary chain link fence around the complex.

It's the first step in preparing for demolition.

The fence is expected to be completed in the next day or so.

"Can't do any demo without the fence being around it - gotta be secure," said Mike Ashby of Arrow Fence.

COR Development Company of Syracuse is replacing Mercy with a complex that will include apartments and commercial space.
