Finishing Touches Put On Lewis County Fair

Monday may have been the busiest day of the week at the Lewis County Fair in Lowville even though it doesn't officially open until Tuesday.

Everyone was busy putting up rides, moving food trucks into position and giving the cows a good cleaning.

The 193rd edition of the fair runs from Tuesday though Saturday.

For everyone behind the scenes, the work doesn't end when the fair does.

"It started early this morning and it probably won't end until late tonight with answering questions and putting out brush fires so to speak," said Fair President Harry O'Connor.

Admission to the fair is free all week long.
